British Variant Kittens

The British Variant is a very big boned and solid cat with semi-long fur that, despite its length, rarely casts and is easy to groom.  This is mainly because it doesn't have a thick undercoat like a Persian.

They occasionally occur in a litter of kittens from two shorthaired parents because Persians were used in the breed many years ago to increase a depleted gene pool.  They are something of a rarity, although I have received a number of enquiries from people specifically asking for Variant kittens.  This page is to show people what they look like.

Here are some further examples of kittens I have had in the past.  It is worth noting that they are unusual and can't be booked to order.
